Mr. Butler Barfield, Jr., age 69, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Town Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8pm.

Born in Lake City, he was a son of the late Butler Barfield, Sr. and Ola Mae Porter Barfield. Mr. Barfield was a Farmer and a member of New Town Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his spouse, Mary Ann Herrington Barfield of Lake City. A son, Robert Butler Barfield (Betsy) of Pelion, S.C. A brother, Carlisle Barfield (Alice) of Lake City. Four grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
