Mr. Robbie Henry McElveen, age 79, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at his home after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Lynchburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.

Born in Sumter county, he was a son of the late Thomas McElveen and Annie Bell McGee McElveen. He was the former owner of McElveen’s Grocery in South Lynchburg.

He is preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" McElveen.

Surviving are his wife, Georgie Peake McElveen of the home. A daughter, Elizabeth "Lib" Windham of Lynchburg. A son, Robbie "Tony" McElveen of Lynchburg. A sister, Annie Feagan of Lugoff. Three grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
