Thaddeus R. Floyd

Lake City

Mr. Thaddeus Richard Floyd, age 91, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in New Hope Christian Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday (tonight) at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late William Floyd and Katherine Driggers Floyd. Mr. Floyd was a retired farmer and a member and Deacon of New Hope Christian Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice T. Floyd.

Surviving are two daughters, Lois F. Gibbons (Chris) of Turbeville and Linda F. Hancock (Kelly) of Lake City. Four sons, Freddis L. Floyd, Ronald T. Floyd (Lana), Billy Floyd (Denise), and Jody Ray Floyd (special friend, Elaine) all of Lake City. Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3709 St. James Road, Lake City, S.C. 29560 or New Hope Christian Church, c/o Cemetery Fund, 10327 Salem Road, New Zion, S.C. 29111.
