Betty F. Floyd

Lake City - Betty Faye Miles Floyd, age 71, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Lake City Community Hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in New Piney Grove Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 1-3 PM at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late John Covington Miles and Hannah Elizabeth Lynch Miles. Mrs. Betty Faye was a retired Director and Kindergarten Teacher of Lake City Presbyterian Daycare, a homemaker, and a member of New Piney Grove Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Billy Miles. She is survived by her husband, L. C. Floyd of Lake City; three daughters, Janice Hayes (Kevin) of Scranton, Sherry Grimsley (Kevin) of Scranton, Maria Floyd (Tony) of Cades; one son, Benji Floyd (Crystal) of New Zion; three sisters, Mary James of Coward, Shirley Browder of Myrtle Beach, and Wanda Deans (Ken) of Alexandria, VA; two brothers, Russell Miles (Sylvia) of Lake City, John Miles (Judy) of Mooresville, NC; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
