OLANTA - Carl Gene Wagnone, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on March 24, 1949, in Houston, Texas, Carl's journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and craft.

Carl spent his professional career as a contractor, working tirelessly as a self-employed entrepreneur. His reputation for integrity and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and trust of clients and colleagues alike. His work was more than a livelihood—it was a testament to his strong work ethic and passion for building.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance to his children: James David (Lisa) Hayes of Elloree, Douglas B. (Audra) Hayes of Pamplico, and Shannon (Phil) Tedder of Florence. His spirit and values will continue to live on through his six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, whom he adored and shared countless memories with.
