Chad Yates, 42, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Floyd Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held1 hr prior to the service at the funeral home.

Chad was born in Florence on Sept 2, 1983, to Bonnie and Billy Yates.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Yates, and his daughter, Heaven Yates. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Bonnie Yates; his two sisters, Christal Kelley and Linsey Yates; and his two children, Cadence Yates, Skye Yates; six nieces and nephews, Jayden, Kimara, Blisten, Malonna, Xander, Kara, Ryla, and many close friends who were his chosen family.
