Charles Edward Floyd

COWARD – Charles Edward Floyd, 74, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at his residence, Born March 8, 1948, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Willie Moscoe Floyd and the late Annie Frances Cox Floyd. He attended Family Worship Church and was a carpenter. He is survived by his ex-wife and care giver of 52 years, Charlene Vincient Floyd; one sister, Judy (Glenn) McKay of Timmonsville; two sisters in law, Betty Hicks Floyd of Coward and Clarice Floyd of Cades; two brothers in law, Jimmy Baird of Elgin and Jimmy Powell of Coward; and sixteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Floyd, and Myers Floyd; three sisters, Thelma Welch, Maurice Baird, and Faye Powell; one brother in law, Sidney Welch; and an infant, Randoulf Floyd. A graveside service will be held 2pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Old Piney Grove Cemetery, in the Barrineau Community of Lake City. Food will be served at the residence following the service. Pallbearers will be Kevin Miles, Wylie Lee, Timothy Lee, Bixhead Lee, Jerry Welch, and Mario Martinez. A visitation will be from 5 – 7pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Floyd Funeral Home and other times at the residence 453 Hicks Road, Coward. Floyd Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
