Donnie Rhodes Weaver

*Olanta, SC* Donnie Rhodes Weaver, a cherished resident of Olanta, SC, passed away peaceftlly on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, at the age of 94. Bom on Saturday, September 10th, 1932, in Florence, South Carolina, Donnie led a life filled with grace, resilience, and love for her family and community.

 Donnie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Roxie Rhodes, her beloved husband, Roy Lee Weaver, her cherished daughters, Diane Weaver and Sally Weaver, and her dear brothers, Archie Rhodes, Bubba Rhodes and Ronald Rhodes, along with her sisters, Lona Mae Rhodes Yarborough and Bobbie Jean Rhodes Harris.

She will be deeply missed by her devoted daughters, Donna Weaver Herndon(Charles) and Jean Weaver Wallace (Garry), her treasured grandchildren, Scott Herndon (Lori), Jennifer Herndon Hodge (Herbert), Staci Purvis, Nicole Tomlinson (Mark), and Nicholas Tomlinson, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Hannah Hodge, Skylar Herndon, Connor Purvis, Nathan Purvis, Caroline Stevens, and Levi Herndon, and her precious great-great-grandchild, Lydia Purvis. In addition, she leaves behind her special friends and extended family, Mack Myers and Nick Tomlinson, who were close to her heart.

 A graveside funeral service to honor and celebrate Donnie's remarkable life will be held at Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery, Olanta, SC, on Thursday, October 8th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Olanta Baptist Church, PO Box 188, Olanta, SC 29114. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care of Florence SC. In remembrance of Donnie's compassionate spirit and love for her community.
