Elvin Legrand Tilton

Scranton Mr. Elvin Legrand Tilton, age 81, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 after an illness. Graveside services will be held at 3:30pm today (Tuesday, December 19, 2017) at New Piney Grove Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends from 1-3pm at the funeral home prior to the graveside service. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late William C. Tilton and and Lola Marie Rodgers Tilton. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Tilton. Surviving are a daughter, Peggy (Robbie) Collins of Hemingway; two sons, Mark (Sandra) Tilton of Scranton, and David (Alberta) Tilton of Lake City; a sister, Alice (Buck) Feagin of Lake City; four grandchildren, April (Pat) Welch, Amy (Devin) Wheat, Trey (Lauren) Tilton, and Ryan Tilton; six great grandchildren, Charlie and Laken Welch, Shelby and Cadence Wheat, and Emerson and Sadie Tilton.
