**Obituary for Jane Sharpe Moore**
Jane Sharpe Moore, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her home in Turbeville, South Carolina. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, on Sunday, June 15th, 1952. Jane lived a full and devoted life to her family, friends, students and to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jane's unwavering love was far reaching, bringing warmth and hope to all who knew her. She was 73.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2026, from 6-8 PM at Floyd Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held to honor Jane's life on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, at 11 AM at New Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband, Stanly Moore, who was the love of her life for over 50 years. She leaves behind two adoring daughters, Marianne Moore and Lizabeth "Bette" (Mark) Kelly, immeasurably loved, one and only granddaughter, Liza Grace, and her sisters of the heart, Lorre Baird and Pam Moore Kennedy. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, William Roy Sharpe and Gladys Earline Baird Sharpe, who bestowed upon her the values she faithfully carried throughout her life.
Education played a fundamental role in Jane's life. She earned a Master's Degree in Special Education and dedicated her career to nurturing, supporting, and loving children with special needs as an elementary school teacher. Her generosity, gentle nature, and open heart left an indelible mark on the lives of her students, colleagues, and the community.
Jane Sharpe Moore's legacy of love, compassion and dedication to others will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered because her life made this world a better place.
