Joseph A. "Sammy" Canady Mr. Joseph A. "Sammy" Canady, age 67, of Effingham died Saturday February 15, 2014 at his home after an illness. A funeral service will be 3 PM Monday, February 17, 2014 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta. A burial will be at a later time at National Cemetery in Florence. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Sanford L. Canady and Ucell Collins Canady. Mr. Canady was a Pole inspector with A. W. Williams and was a Vietnam Veteran. Surviving are two daughters, Erin (Rosemary) Kaminskas of Georgetown and Shannon (Danny) Bellamy of Conway, a sister, Marie "Reecie" (Greg) Williamson of Florence. Two grandchildren, Waylon Bellamy of Conway and Dillon Kaminskas of Georgetown. A special friend, Tammy Miller of Effingham.
