Louise Moore Kennedy, a beloved resident of Turbeville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on January 11, 1928, in Sumter, South Carolina, Louise led a life filled with love, faith, family, and service.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Louise was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert Coke Moore and Clara Lewis Moore; her cherished husband, Alva Raymond Kennedy, Sr.; her daughter, Linda Kennedy Wingard; her four brothers, Robert Moore, Leland Moore, Paul Moore, and Lance Moore; and her three sisters, Janis Moore Brown, Kay Moore Hicks, and Gloria Moore Frenz.

Louise is survived by her son, Alva Raymond "Ray" (Connie) Kennedy Jr., of Georgetown, SC, who lovingly carries on her legacy. Her family also includes five grandsons: Brian (Sabra) Kennedy of Moore, Wade (Paula) Kennedy of Catawba, Jim (Julia Ann) Kennedy of Turbeville, Ron (Melissa) Wingard of Turbeville, and Kevin (Kendall) Wingard of Turbeville. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Spencer Kennedy, Ian Kennedy, Jenni Kennedy, Jamie Kennedy, Savanna Wingard, George Wingard, Cody Plummer, Heyward Wingard, and Hampton Wingard, all of whom brought immense joy to her life; and a special caregiver and friend, Lynn Weaver.

Louise found fulfillment and purpose in her work as a talented seamstress. Her skills and dedication were admired by many within the community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, which she expressed through her membership at New Zion Methodist Church, where she was active in the Ladies' Sunday School Class. She was also an active member of the Black River American Legion Auxiliary.

She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and her deep commitment to her church and community. Louise’s legacy of kindness and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the New Zion Methodist Church (7169 Salem Road, New Zion, SC) with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Rev. Eric McGill, Rev. Patrick Goodwin, and Mrs. Beth Cuttino will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the New Zion Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
