Marie Calcutt Graham, 84, a cherished resident of Olanta, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Lake City - Scranton Healthcare Center. Born on July 23, 1941, in Pamplico, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Calcutt and the late Maureen Hyman Calcutt. Marie lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
A devoted homemaker, Marie dedicated her life to the care and upbringing of her family. Her nurturing spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of everyone she met. Until her health prevented her, Marie was an active member of the Olanta Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and a member of the Edna Myers Sunday School Class, where she formed enduring friendships and contributed to her community's spiritual and social life.
Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie "Junior" M. Graham; her parents; two precious grandchildren Caroline Graham and Courtney Graham; her sisters, Helen Myers and Ann McClam; her brother Billy Calcutt; and a sister-in-law, Sally Graham.
She is survived by her loving sons, James "Bobo" Allen Graham (Darlene) and Charles "Tony" Graham (Patricia), both of Olanta; her treasured grandchildren, Zachary Graham (Whitley) of Kingstree, Anthony Graham (Jackie) of Indiana, and Ashley Graham Miles (Chance) of Olanta. Marie also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Chloe Miles, Lillie Miles, and Noah Miles. In addition, she is survived by sister-in-law Linda Myrick (Len) of Florence and brother-in-law Frank Graham of Olanta.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery (600 Park Ave.) in Olanta, SC, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:00 am. The family will graciously receive guests following the service or at other times at the home of Bobo and Darlene Graham, located at 541 N. Lynchburg Highway, Olanta, SC.
The care and arrangements for Marie's services are being provided by Floyd Funeral Home, 138 E. Main Street, Olanta, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Olanta Baptist Church, P.O. Box 188, Olanta, SC 29114 in Marie’s memory.
Marie Calcutt Graham’s legacy of love and kindness leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
