Mrs. Martha Floyd Graham Gaskin, 93, passed away on September 20, 2025 at NHC in West Columbia, SC.
She was born on July 23, 1932, in Florence County, a daughter of the late Shady R. Floyd and Lizzie Flowers Floyd. She spent most of her life in Olanta, SC. In 1953, she married the late Charles Edward Graham. They were blessed with a daughter and son. She was an active member of Olanta Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the WMU and was a Circle member. Later in life she moved her membership to New Zion Baptist Church where she loved worshipping with her dear family and lifelong friends.
Martha's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Cooking and baking delicious treats and meals delighted her. Days spent with family and friends at the family mountain house in Virginia were days she cherished. Later in life she was blessed to marry the late John W. Gaskin, who became known as "Grandpops" to her children and grandchildren. They were blessed to share so many wonderful times in life.
Throughout her life she let her light shine for God telling everyone to always put Him first and trust in Him. It is no wonder that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren arose to call her blessed. She was clothed in strength, dignity, wisdom, and love.
Surviving is her daughter, Vicky Graham Horne (John) of Pawley's Island and son, Charles Randall "Randy" Graham (Janice) of Florence; grandchildren, John D. Horne III (Caitlin), Charles "Brent" Horne (Cathy), Justin R. Graham (Amber); great-grandchildren, Jack Horne, Haines Horne, Callum Horne, Casen Horne, Sophia Graham, and Noah Graham; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Floyd; sisters, Mildred McKenzie, Betty Eskridge, and Diane Rodgers.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the sanctuary of the New Zion Baptist Church, 1230 McAllister Mill Road, Lake City, with Rev. Anthony Poston officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

The family request that memorials be made in Martha's memory to the New Zion Baptist Church, 1230 McAllister Mill Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
