TIMMONSVILLE - Meddie Graham Poston, 92, widow of Thurmond C. Poston. Surrounded by her loving family, she died peacefully at her home on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Born February 13, 1933, in Hemmingway, SC, she was a daughter of the late Zingle and Irene Graham. She, along with her husband, owned and operated the 52 Stop and Shop in Coward and she was a member of Fresh Anointing Ministries.
Maddie is survived by her children, Marion (Debra) Poston, Jenny (Dillon) Dorrell, Sue Anne Gainey, and James (Carla) Poston; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Wendy) Dorrell, Andrew (Clara) Dorrell, Leslie (Matthew) Floyd, Brian Matthews, Justin (Kristin) Poston, Amanda (Zack) Berg, and Amy (T.C.) Crews; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kaci, Cameron, Carly, Carolina, Braylon, Phillip, Abby, Noah, Andrew, Hailey, and Stetson, and also a special sister, Faye (Windell) Lee.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings, Harry, George, John, Rosalee, Willie, and Naomi Harrell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home, 136 E. Main Street, Olanta, SC with Rev. Windell Lee and Rev. Carl Morris officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
