It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phillip Arnette Miles, a cherished resident of Lamar, South Carolina. Born on Friday, December 23, 1960, in Timmonsville, South Carolina, Phillip peacefully departed this life on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Phillip was a beloved father, brother, and friend who devoted his life to his family and his work in the roofing industry. With a distinctive sense of humor, he was known for bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His ability to find humor in everyday life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his two sons, Phillip Miles and wife Sherry of Sumter, and Anthony Miles of Alcolu. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Cook and husband Roy of Lamar, and his brother, Michael Miles of Lamar. A special friend, Lorie Horsey of Olanta, also shared in his journey through life. His cherished grandchildren, Nevaeh Miles, Damon Miles, Mia Miles, Carson Russ, Bentley Russ, and Riley Russ, will carry forward his legacy of love.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Foster Leroy Miles and Fenette Miles Floyd, his wife, Malissa Miles, and his sister, Cheryl Langston.
While no services are planned at this time, the family encourages those who would like to honor Phillip's memory to consider a contribution to Floyd Funeral Home, P.O. Box 67, Olanta, SC 29114 to assist with funeral expenses.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. Phillip's spirit and laughter will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
