Ralph Howard Coker

Ralph Howard Coker, 91, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home in Turbeville, South Carolina. Born on July 11, 1935, in Cyrene, Georgia, Ralph was the beloved son of the late Ira A. Coker and Magdalene “Maggie” Welch Coker.

Ralph embraced a life rich in faith, fellowship, and hard work, finding community as a devoted member of Olive Grove Church and the Masonic Lodge #394. His life was marked by his dedication to his family, community, and his career as a long-distance truck driver with A N Webber, where he was known as an eighteen-wheeler's best friend.

Cherished husband to Lois Atkinson Coker, Ralph leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughters, Victoria Yates and Katherine C. Hussey. He was the proud grandfather of Tonya Kirby of Olanta, SC, Cory Weaver (Racquel) of Oklahoma, Joshua Jordan (Lori) of Manning, SC, and Ian Hussey of Turbeville. His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren: Kriston Brown (Justen), Kristopher Kirby (Magan), Reagan Weaver, Ty Weaver, Riley Jordan, Mason Jordan, and Pierson Jordan, and great-great-grandchildren, Ansley Brown, Abby Brown, Anna Brown, Bryson Gainey, and Piper Kirby. Ralph is also survived by his beloved sister, Katherine Mathis, of Nashville, Georgia.

Ralph was preceded in death by his siblings, sisters Betty Johnson, Juanita Chandler, Nell Gibbs, Janie Futch, Faith Parker, Doris Dangerfield, Mary Alice Baker, Annie Lou Etheridge, and brothers Robert Coker, Edward Laverne Coker, and Leslie Coker.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Olive Grove Church, 1280 Olive Grove Road, Turbeville, SC. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the church cemetery.
