Florence Reverend William Monroe Harrell, age 94, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Carolinas Hospital Systems. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church, 1097 Horse Branch Road, Turbeville, S.C. 29162. Born in Pamplico, he was a son of the late Morell James Harrell and Letha Viola Coleman Harrell. He was a retired Free Will Baptist Minister, a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran who served in World War II, and he was loyal to God and his country. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glennie Welch Harrell; a son, Charles Ingram Welch; two grandsons, Christopher Capps and Patrick Capps; four sisters, and one brother. Surviving are three daughters, Beverly Hanna (Rev. Billy) of Albany, Georgia, Brenda Capps (Boyd) of Florence, and Betty Driggers (Linwood) of Turbeville; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
