William Bert Floyd

William Bert Floyd, a cherished resident of the Barrineau Community, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at the age of 60. Born in Florence, South Carolina, William was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his dedication to family, his career, and his community.

William was known for his creativity and his sewing, as well as his interior designs. He was the owner and operator of World of Color Interior designs. He devoted his professional life to real estate development for McLeods Hospital System, where he showcased his commitment to improving community facilities and services. His work was marked by integrity and innovation, making a positive impact on the lives of many.

William is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Allysa Watson and her husband Caleb of Florence; his brother, Del Floyd of Lake City; his aunt, Grace Watts of Mayesville; and his cousins, Katie Lane (Ronald), Joyce Taylor (Wilber), Lori Ann Burrows (Murray) all of Lake City, and Joby Byers (Chuck) of Carrollton, Georgia. He leaves behind his niece, Kirby Floyd, and nephew, Jesse Floyd, both of Lake City. His memory is also cherished by his special friends, Scott and Tina Askins of Lake City.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William Delbert Floyd and Joanne Bingham Floyd, and his son, Caleb Bingham Floyd.

A visitation will be held at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lake City on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. William’s life will be celebrated by those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3709 St. James Road, Lake City, SC 29560, a place that held a special meaning in William's life.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Floyd Funeral Home, Inc. William’s vibrant spirit, kindness, and gentle humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
